The concept behind the Accidental Gourmet is learning to cook from the right side of the brain. What does this mean? Rediscovering food. In an age of fad diet mania and a growing problem of obesity, we have lost sight of the importance of real food. Food is our substance and our lifeline. It is more than counting calories and carbs. I don't believe we would compromise with our cars or homes they way we do with our bodies. What we eat matters. But the loftiest principles don't do any good if they are impossible to apply, thus the idea of the Accidental Gourmet. The Accidental Gourmet is a way of making cooking creative, simple, instinctive and a rewarding experience, rather than a tedious daily chore.
